So this isnt really a sequel? No HB characters, different backstory for Birdgirl and straight up not respecting previously established continuity. Why didn't you call it something else if thats what you were going to do with it?

Barely a minute in and my nostalgia is off the charts, the animation, the comedy style, it’s all a hit. I miss the old animation I almost want to say I wish they downgraded the quality a little but that’s just Birdman love. And Phil is dead :( nooooo

Well, it wasn't perfect, obviously. It was very, and I mean VERY awkward and rushed up. But it definetely had some charm. And I really love the fact that the main character is a redhead. I love cool redhead girls.

Getting major Harley Quinn vibes from this show.

I feel like the artstyle is a bit too polished for harvey, maybe get rid of the shadows, and use a simpler pallete

I never made it through one Harvey Birdman episode without laughing. This is really dissapointing. Making Mentok a women was a bad idea. He would of really made the show...this imposter lady is very lame.

This is exactly what I expected it to be...terrible just terrible. The problem with having a female lead in a comedy is no one has the vagina (see what I did there) to do self-deprecating humor appropriately with them. Same with all the other *insert class not allowed to mention* you'll never be funny because you're intentionally holding yourself back... it shows. "Then she does..." writer "Eww no we cant have a woman do ________" head writer That's the problem and y'all don't have the vagina to fix it.

I did not enjoy this. I enjoy Birdgirl's character, but I feel works far better in small doses. None of the other characters were palatable or funny. But I wish this show and it's creators success all the same.

Why is the pacing so slow as compared to Harvey Birdman, seriously I'm falling asleep over here. Plus its way more realistic, Droopy makeover aside, I'm not getting the nostalgia vibes.

This is possibly one of the funniest "superhero" shows out there. I like the way they left birdgirl unchanged, because she was already a great and funny character. And Phil's nickname was "Daddy" x'D

I like the main voice actresses energy but God this is terrible these jokes didn't land for me at all. There is not setup to the show. Like the orginal was funny because birdman was an old cartoon super hero and the setup of the show was him becoming a lawyer almost forgetting about being a superhero and helping other cartoon characters owned by hanna-barbera which of course led to other jokes like Shaggy getting busted with weed or Johnny Quest's dad and body guard fighting for custody of him and Hadji. However her the setup is she's BIRDGIRL... that's it and she runs a company. Also what was the purpose of gender swapping Mentok the Mind Taker? Watching this new version just makes me miss the orginal character and show it also just comes off as lazy that the best they could create was a bad copy. What was the deal with her inventing birdgirl as a child? It's been years since I saw the orginal but wasn't burdgirl a persona she created after meeting Harvey to help him with his cases? I do remember Phil hitting on her (him not realizing it was his daughter) and now it just feels creepy that he knew a child version of birdgirl or knew her when she was little and later still wants to bone her..... It's just sad that lazy attempts like this and Mr. Pickles get greenlit but "smiling friends" never got past the pilot.

I'm conflicted on this. This isn't *unfunny* but I just feel like it's connection to Harvey Birdman hurts it more than it helps it. My favorite character from the original was Birdgirl and she's *kinda* the same character but it's clear the world she inhabits isn't.

The jazz section just reminded me of Mike Tyson Mysteries, and it made me sad that a show that had a consistent reliable sense of humor got canceled and this the bland charmless husk of a previous also good show got greenlit. This show misses the whole point of Harvey birdman with all the pointless action scenes. This can be seen with the introduction of birdgirl in the original series, and how she was so eager to do hero work but as soon as she answered the phone in the scene it was for a will, you know a lawyers task and that was the overall vibe of the original series, not pointless shock value "gore" or action scenes. Good attempt with the character designs, but some of the proportions are off, but that can be fixed. Overall the show was a 3 out of 10 for me, the script was just gag after gag hopelessly wishing that one of the jokes would land, and it honestly just made me feel bad, like I don't want anyone to loose their job for this but it just feels underwhelming.
